Born in Adelaide, Bob moved to the Barossa Valley in 1982 and despite several offers to move interstate has chosen to make his home here.
Bob didn’t drink much wine until he came to the Barossa but had the good fortune to become friends with a group of winemakers and has enjoyed some really great wines over the years.
“I love a good Barossa Shiraz matched with fine local produce, preferably in the company of good friends”
With a background in sales & marketing that started with a major oil company & has included insurance & educational fundraising, Bob loves the wine industry.
He joined Simpatico Wines as a casual cellar door specialist as part of his ‘transition to retirement”. This has now taken on a new focus and increased hours.
Bob loves to make wine with his son and they are currently enjoying their 2009 Barossa Shiraz.
This experience and the challenges of creating a really good product has given Bob a much better understanding of the wine industry and lots of stories to tell when promoting Simpatico Wines.
